Online consultation

Book a 15min, 30min or 45min video call for £60, £100 or £120 respectively. You can send me details of anything you already have planned, questions, and areas on which you’d like to focus beforehand.
Follow-up resources
Included in fee
After the call, I’ll send you a document summarising what we talked about and answering any questions that came up. It’ll also include resources that will help you with planning and booking your dream trip.
Bespoke itinerary
+£50
Based on the dates you’d like to travel and the interests and places we discuss, I’ll create a unique itinerary you can use as the basis for your trip to Japan.
NB Only available as a consultation call add-on.
Things to bear in mind
- Festive hours: I’m mostly away Dec 18–Jan 6, so please don’t book any consultations in that timeframe without contacting me first.
- Please ensure your email address is written out correctly when booking. You’ll receive an email confirmation – please check your spam folder if it hasn’t arrived after a few hours.
- If you would like to send me specific information and/or queries ahead of the consultation, please do so at least 48 hours in advance.
- The fee covers only the consultation, follow-up resources document, and (if relevant) one bespoke itinerary. It does not include additional versions of the itinerary, follow-up emails, making bookings on your behalf, or trip support.
- By default, consultations will be conducted over Zoom (<40min), Google Meet or WhatsApp video chat. Please let me know your preference, or if you would rather have a regular old phone call – we can do that! Follow-up resources will be emailed to you as a Microsoft Word document.
- As a travel writer, my schedule is irregular and subject to change. In the unlikely event that our scheduled consultation time becomes unavailable, I will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule or, if you would prefer, to cancel and refund you.
- You can reschedule your consultation up to 72 hours beforehand, but please do be considerate of the fact that I will have planned my day/week around that consultation time.
